Chemoxy International’s R&D Manager, David Randall, who is a member of FoodWasteNet, is one of five people to have been awarded Proof of Concept Funding for 2015.
FoodWasteNet is an active community of industrial practitioners and academic scientists and is one of 13 BBSRC (Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research) funded collaborative Networks in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy
The network aims to realise the potential of using food waste and by-products to produce renewable chemicals & biomaterials with added value and market potential.
FoodWasteNet Proof of Concept funds are awarded to encourage and support collaboration between academics and industrialists. The funds are provided to help pump-prime collaborative research projects of industrial relevance with projects identifying information on suitable feed stocks, novel products and product applications and making chemicals & biomaterials.
