Chemoxy are delighted to start the New Year celebrating our success in achieving our Bronze Award from North East Better Health at Work. Bronze is the maximum award for a first time applicant. The Better Health at Work Award recognises the efforts of employers in addressing health issues within the workplace. As an organisation, Chemoxy cares about its employees and wishes to do all it can through work, to help them to be as happy and healthy as possible. Challenging ourselves to achieve the bronze award was a great way to promote this ethos in our workplace, offering real practical support and demonstrating our commitment to the philosophy . Throughout the year we had many special events including our Red is Better Taster Event, Massage Therapy at Work, Monthly Challenge and a visit from the Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation Healthy Heart Bus. As there are 4 levels to the Award –Bronze, Silver, Gold and Continuing Excellence and Chemoxy like a challenge, watch this space as we work towards Silver in 2017/18. We have started the year with “Dry January” and our very own lunchtime challenge. The lunchtime challenge (promoted by Tees Valley Sport Workplace) is a National challenge encouraging people to make small changes starting with getting away from our desks at lunchtime and taking steps towards better health !
