Chemoxy celebrate another successful ISO9001 audit

Posted on January 19, 2017

Philip Crosby once said “Quality is such an attractive banner that sometimes we think we can get away with just waving it, without doing the hard work necessary to achieve it.” But at Chemoxy we are proud to say we do the hard work each and every day. We are delighted to confirm we have completed another ISO9001 Quality Management System (BSI) audit and received ZERO non-conformities. Our Billingham Site Team did a super job demonstrating how robust our Quality Management Processes are and how important it is to all of us to follow the agreed management processes.

As far back as 1979, Crosby published his first book on the subject “Quality Is Free” . At the time Crosby was reviewing the impact of Japanese goods in the American market and his response to the crisis was the principle of “doing it right the first time” (DIRFT). He also included four major principles:

1. The definition of quality is conformance to requirements

2. The system of quality is prevention

3. The performance standard is zero defects

4. The measurement of quality is the price of non-conformance

Our Quality management system covers everything we do – product development, manufacturing, marketing and supply of chemicals and everyone who works at Chemoxy shares the responsibility to deliver products and services which meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. During 2017 we will continue to focus on improving our right first time metric which has averaged over 99% for the last six years.
