David Randall (R&D Manager) gave a presentation to the RSC/NEPIC sponsored meeting at Hardwick Hall entitled “The Chemistry of Collaboration” on 3rd November. David’s contribution to the meeting was a paper entitled “ The View of an SME” to an audience of about 100 representing a diverse group of companies from the North East of England. The main focus of the paper was a discussion of three areas of collaboration in which Chemoxy has been involved. These involved work with Government Bodies and Learned Institutions, Other Companies and as Contract Manufacturers. The conclusions of his presentation were that Collaboration with Universities and other companies very much enhances the success of SMEs. The role of Government agencies, such as Innovate UK (formerly the Technology Strategy Board) can be key in supporting innovative activities in SMEs.
