Chemoxy has been shortlisted for the 2016/17 PD Ports Northern Powerhouse Export Awards in two categories Large Exporter of the Year and High Growth Markets Exporter of the Year based on our recent success in growing our sales in international markets. Dozens of firms were nominated in the first ever Northern Powerhouse awards celebrating international trade across diverse trade sectors including digital, healthcare, manufacturing and food & drink. The Award is sponsored by BQ Live and PD Ports. BQ Live work to celebrate and inspire entrepreneurship helping businesses succeed and grow, through their digital services and quarterly national magazine. PD Ports, based in Middlesbrough, are a key player in port centric, multimodal logistics and warehousing and operate Teesport, a major deep-water container port in the North of England close to Chemoxy’s two manufacturing sites. The judging panel compromised of the sponsors and export experts Chamber International and logistics specialists Advanced Supply Chain Group. BQ’s managing director, Bryan Hoare, said: “We knew when we launched this celebration that the North had a wealth of businesses who were really capitalising on the opportunities that trading internationally brings. “And we haven’t been disappointed. The shortlist is expansive, because we want to credit as many outstanding entrepreneurs and businesses as we can.
The Chemoxy team – Ian Stark (CEO), Barry Jackson (Board Director/ BGF), Paula Tinkler (Commercial Director) and Isabel Rumoroso (Commercial Manager) are excited about attending the Award’s Dinner in Leeds on February 9th to celebrate the success of Chemoxy’s Coasol brand – low VOC, low odour and low emission coalescents for the paint industry which have been so successful in international markets in recent years. As David Robinson, PD Ports CEO, said: “the development of new opportunities to deliver economic growth and investment remains of critical importance to the North” for Chemoxy this translates to being able to continue to invest in our people, our assets and our community and we are delighted to celebrate with so many other successful exporters.
As Commercial Manager, Isabel Rumoroso reflected “it has been relentless hard work” for all involved from R&D, Production, Supply Chain and Commercial.
