Revival of M1.2

Posted on November 30, 2018 Revival of M1.2

For many months now Chemoxy has been carrying out modification and refurbishment of one of our  plants at the Middlesbrough Site – unit M1.2. The unit which was decommissioned in 2009, has received a significant overhaul and the recent dismantling of the scaffold has revealed  a shiny distillation column.

Chemoxy’s staff, contractors successfully completed the project in a timely and efficient manner, without any safety  incidents.

M1.2 is a multi-functional distillation unit and is to be used extensively across Chemoxy’s Solvent Recovery operations. The unit will allow Chemoxy to offer the market several thousands of tonnes of additional solvent recovery capacity on a plant with a 22 theoretical plate, 0.75m column and temperatures up to 180 degrees Celsius. Additional stainless steel product storage has also been added to the plant to support the plant

As Chemoxy approaches the end of  2018, the year in which we celebrated the anniversary of 150 years of distillation at the Middlesbrough site, known locally as All Saints Refinery, this investment into M1.2  has prepared the unit for many more great years to come.
