Site Power Upgrade to Facilitate New Plant B5.1

SEQENS Custom Specialties Billingham have successfully carried out a site power upgrade, to facilitate CF Fertilisers and complete essential maintenance to the 11kv breaker which feeds the Seqens site.

The upgrade enabled new protection settings to be installed into the breaker to facilitate the new transformer installed as part of the B5.1 project.

The maintenance team prepared the connection of a 200KVA diesel generator to run essential supplies onsite prior to isolating the 11kv breaker, including the UPS standby supplies for the plant DCS. The generator supply cables were connected to the MCC board in the substation, which were connected and disconnected efficiently and safely.
